Our Mission
Palma Non Sine Pulvere
The Vic High Alumni Association honours the traditions and history of the oldest public high school in Western Canada.
We support alumni by assisting reunions, providing news to alumni and helping them get in touch with one another.
We support today's students by funding scholarships, supporting special programs in school and undertaking major projects.
About VICTORIA HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The alumni association helps keep the connection to Vic High for alumni by:
-Supporting class reunions,
-Sponsoring social functions and celebrations that promote Vic High,
-Producing an annual newsletter, and
-Maintaining a website for the alumni.
The association also helps Vic High and its students directly by:
Funding scholarships and bursaries totalling approximately $8,000 each year and
raising special funds for projects like:
-refurbishing and purchasing a professional sound system for the auditorium,
-purchasing a bus for the use of the school, and
-raising funds to support on-going school activities in the areas of performing visual arts, sports and vocational education.
The association works with the Archives group that has assembled a truly remarkable collection of records chronicling many aspects of the school since its earliest days.
