Our Purpose: WHY WE ARE HERE.
Because of Jesus we learn to do good; to be fair and to help the poor, the fatherless and widows.
The Downtown Vineyard as a community has seen the nations of the world all around us in the city of Toronto. We strive to live the great commandment of loving our God and our neighbours. We exercise the great commission of telling them about Jesus and making disciples, who will do the same. We live this expression not in perfection but with the desire to love our culture into acts of faith. Faith in our God who lives forever in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit Faith that goes beyond our natural abilities, praying for physical healing and special emphasis upon God's working in signs and wonders.
We have a heart for the poor of our city and believe that we need to be a light of hope for those who have had their hope broken. We have served hot meals on a weekly bases for over 10 years, but we see the road to dignity as being more than a meal but also a place people can call home. For many that has become the shelter system of the city, this is a short term solution with very little dignity for those who rely upon the system. It is our hope that in the future we would help to create or support a pathway that would bring people into affordable housing and into the healing of the whole person. We continue to serve our weekly hot meal at Bloor Lansdowne Christian Fellowship, 1307 Bloor Street West.
Join us Sunday's 10:30am at Swansea Town Hall (95 Lavinia Avenue).

About Vineyard Christian Fellowship Toronto / Downtown
We are a member of, the Association of Vineyard Churches Canada, part of a continuing growing group of hundreds of Evangelical Christian Congregations in 85 nations across the world.
While Vineyards may vary in style and personality from place to place, there are some core beliefs and practices that we hold in common. In brief, they include: a firm commitment to orthodox Evangelical Christian doctrine and beliefs, the teaching of the Bible as God's Word and our standard of faith and practice, the valuing of meeting in small groups for encouragement and growth, an effort to effectively equip the saints to do the ministry and live in the character of Jesus, a commitment to praying for physical healing and special emphasis upon God's working in signs and wonders, the reaching of the lost through evangelism and missions, a desire for unity and cooperation with other churches and pastors, the exercising of spiritual gifts, and an emphasis on ministry to the poor.
