Our Mission
Offering residential courses in Vipassana Meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin, free of cost, funded entirely by donations from old students.
The Vipassana Meditation Centre of BC, known as 'Dhamma Surabhi', is one of over 150 international centres, situated in Mainland BC, where the technique of Vipassana meditation is taught and practiced.
About Vipassana Meditation Centre of BC - Dhamma Surabhi
Located 20 minutes south of Merritt, BC, less than a 3-hour drive from Vancouver, BC, it can accommodate up to 60 students.
Encouraged by student demand, planning is underway to expand the capacity to 120 students in a phased manner.
All expenses are met by donations from people who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the opportunity to also benefit.
One time or regular donations are welcome towards:
1. the operation of the Centre (Dhamma Surabhi) or
2. the expansion of the Centre (Dhamma Surabhi) to accommodate up to 120 students
