Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives contributes to an enhanced quality of life in Richmond by bringing people and services together through community information and volunteerism.
About RICHMOND CARES, RICHMOND GIVES
As the community Volunteer Centre, we help potential volunteers find service opportunities and help non-profit organizations recruit volunteers.
We offer comprehensive Community Information & Referral in person, by phone and online.
Our programs include:
* Richmond Christmas Fund, assisting low-income residents.
* Seniors Programs - shopping programs for those who cannot do their own grocery shopping; specialized information and referral for seniors; and free senior peer counselling.
* Child Care Resource & Referral Centre, helping both parents and child care providers,
* Leadership Richmond: "Youth Now" trains young adults to serve on non-profit boards; "Community Leadership” promotes volunteerism, offers training, and builds community capacity; and "Richmond Caring Companies" promotes corporate volunteering and the transfer of business skills to the public sector.
