The Vulnerable Children Society is a registered charity in Canada. The organization partners with Ethiopian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to support at-risk children and families with specific, targeted programs.

OUR IN-COUNTRY NGO PARTNERS

Canadian Humanitarian operates the Love & Hope Center in Kality, where the Vulnerable Children Society supports 70 children through our monthly sponsorship program. The children who attend the Love & Hope Centre receive a hot nourishing meal each day, tutoring after school, and counselling; they also participate in sport/club activities. They have access to hot showers and laundry facilities on weekends. Many of the children are orphaned, or they come from extremely poor families, so this facility enhances their quality of life. To sponsor a child who attends the Love & Hope Centre, select “Donate Monthly”.

Hope for Children in Ethiopia is an Ethiopian charity that that rescues teenage girls from the commercial sex trade. Over a period of one year, the New Life Girls program provides them with a safe place to live, job training, personal hygiene education, and counselling. When possible, it reunites them with their families. To donate to this program, please select "Hope for Children in Ethiopia”.

The Vulnerable Children Society was started in 2010 by a small group of women who were joined by a common love and sense of responsibility for children in Ethiopia. Years later, the organization continues to be managed by a dynamic team of six volunteers. Our strengths as a working board are our diversity of skills, our passion, and our trust in each other.
