Welcome Friend Association is a registered Canadian charity creating brave, affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and families. Our flagship program, Rainbow Camp®, provides life-changing experiences that reduce isolation, build confidence, and remind young people they are not alone.
Many of the youth we serve come from communities where inclusive, identity-affirming programs simply do not exist. For them, Rainbow Camp® is often the first place they feel fully safe being themselves.
Our Mission
To support 2SLGBTQ+ youth and families by creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces where young people can grow, connect, and thrive.

Why Your Support Matters
Demand for affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ youth continues to grow, while funding for inclusive programs has become increasingly uncertain. Your donation helps ensure:
-
No youth is turned away due to financial barriers
-
Campers have access to safe, affirming experiences
-
Programs remain accessible to those who need them most
Every gift helps a young person feel seen, valued, and supported.
Our Impact
-
Thousands of youth and families supported since founding
-
Consistently high demand and waitlists for programs
-
Campers report increased confidence, belonging, and resilience
-
Many former campers return as volunteers and youth leaders
Looking Ahead
We are working toward securing a permanent home for Rainbow Camp®, allowing us to expand programming, reduce long-term costs, and provide year-round support for youth.
