About Us
Welcoming Arms is a registered charity in Aurora, Ontario - founded in 2006 when several local churches coordinated efforts to better serve low-income/marginalized members of our community. Now with additional local partnerships and community volunteers, we aim to help those in need to experience a fuller participation in society - by providing social, economic, and spiritual support.
Programs are centred on the individual needs of our visitors, and include: weekly community meals (Martha's Table and Welcome Table), plus monthly access to grocery gift cards, toiletries and referrals to other community agencies and services (Bridging the Gap), as well as seasonal programs (Back-to-School backpacks, Christmas assistance, income tax preparation, Giving Garden).
Welcoming Arms is a place of friendship and hope; a caring, listening ear; where all are treated with dignity.
