The West Elgin Community Health Centre (WECHC) provides health and social services and partners with our communities to achieve the best health and wellbeing for all. We are part of a strong network of community health centres (CHCs) across Ontario committed to building healthy communities.
Our interdisciplinary team offers primary health care, health promotion services and community programs primarily to the residents of Dutton Dunwich and West Elgin municipalities. Our diabetes services are open to anyone, regardless of where you live, and are offered at multiple locations in Elgin County.
We believe that housing, education, food and the environment all play a role in health and well-being. We also believe that language, literacy and poverty should not get in the way of receiving great care. By working with individuals, families and groups and addressing these determinants of health, we increase individual and group capacity for building healthy communities.
