The Link: A Family Support Centre - Seed Campaign

Help Build Our Community Stronger

Every family has its own unique set of strengths, even at the most difficult times and in the most challenging circumstances. Westcoast Family Centres programs help to build on those strengths. We are focused on empowering individuals with tools and strategies to meet the challenges of raising a child. Initially put into motion in 2013, The Link: A Family Support Centre, also known as “The Link”, officially broke ground (literally) in November 2019 and is well underway to be completed in early 2021.

The Link is situated in the Renfrew Collingwood Community - 2780 East Broadway, in a 36,000sq.ft building. With an aim to reduce the barriers of those looking for support, this location is conveniently accessible by Skytrain, bus, bike routes and includes available public parking.

Our vision is for The Link to ultimately become a “one-stop-shop” location for families of all backgrounds and adversities to access the support services they need to help raise a child and progress a family. Centralizing all WFC Vancouver offices into one space, The Link will offer a variety of accessible services to support the well-being of children, youth, and families within our community.

The Link will be a vibrant, inclusive, community-oriented campus providing a wide range of person-centered support, services and resources for parents, caregivers and their families.

Your support will help our community build a space for resilient children and families.
  • Family Counselling Rooms: The space will be used to provide family, individual, and couples therapy. The space will be warm and friendly. This includes facilitating a positive visitation between parents and children.

  • Play Therapy Room: Child trauma and anxiety requires a specific space to support development and progress. We aim to create rooms specific to the developmental age of children and youth we serve.

  • Learning Kitchen: The learning kitchen is an interactive hands-on space where clients, families and staff can come together to prepare healthy meals. This inviting space encourages everyone to come together, increasing community connections and friendships.

  • Parent Coaching Room: The room is specifically designed to support parent education and support, it is equipped with tools to support live-parent coaching.

  • Community Collaboration Spaces: Designated spaces to facilitate collaboration among different community partners.
