Westie Rescue of Canada has been in operation nationally since 1999. We are a registered Canadian charity dedicated to the protection and well-being of West Highland White Terriers. WRC is funded by private donations and is run by volunteers to find permanent and loving homes for westies who can no longer be cared for by their owners for whatever reason. The primary role of WRC is to ensure that quality care is given by facilitating the pick-up and transport of the rescue, arranging for their spay/neuter as well as for the provision of other appropriate veterinary care, seeking applications and screening of prospective permanent homes for these rescues and facilitating their adoption. WRC is committed to the well-being of the Rescue dogs even after their adoption. Close contact is kept with the dogs and their new families.
