About WILDLIFE HABITAT CANADA
Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC) is a national, non-profit, charitable conservation organization that was established in 1984 by Environment Canada, provincial wildlife agencies and conservation organizations. Through its programs, WHC works with communities, landowners, governments, non-government organizations, and industry to conserve, enhance, and restore wildlife habitat.
Since the establishment of the its Grant Program in 1985, WHC has invested over $50 million to support more than 1,500 conservation projects across Canada.
Funds invested to support the Grant Program come from the purchase of the Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp, and Stamp and Print Program.
