Operating since 1953 in Northumberland County, we are a charitable non-profit organization that is affiliated with Ontario Nature. We fulfill our mission through regular meetings, speakers, outings, a web site, and advocacy; we provide scholarships to local students and awards to local educational institutions. We are proud to be the stewards of Peter’s Woods Provincial Nature Reserve, and were closely involved in the creation of the Northumberland Land Trust. Our members experience nature in many ways, including bird counts, bird banding, butterfly tagging and snapping turtle habitat preservation.
