Plume Winnipeg (formerly the Winnipeg International Writers Festival) is a dynamic arts organization presenting two annual festivals (THIN AIR/Livres en fête and THIN AIR KIDS/Livres en fête junior) along with lively book-centred programming throughout the year. We also lift up writers from equity-seeking groups through special projects like Story Lodge.

Winnipeg is a mix of peoples on Treaty 1 Territory—everyone from people whose roots go back thousands of years to new Canadians who are making Winnipeg their home. Our programming respects and reflects that diversity with writers and storytellers presenting in French and English (and sometimes other languages!) for audiences of all ages. Most of our events take place in Winnipeg, but we also reach out to communities around the province as well.

We expand imaginations, build community, and inspire change. We’re proof that life-long learning is not just essential to our growth and depth as a community, a nation, a culture, but it’s also satisfying and fun!
