The WITS Foundation is Canada’s leader in preventing victimization, discrimination & bullying, and promoting kindness. We've positively impacted over a million children & youth in all areas of Canada, in both English and French. We deliver Pink Shirt Day Canada, Pink Shirt Project and the WITS Program.. often described as the best school program of its kind.
Our work is critical: more than 60% of youth experience bullying over a 2-month period, and 47% of Canadian parents report having a child who is a victim of bullying. The long-term impacts of peer victimization are significant and pervasive, increasing the likelihood of low self-esteem, depressive symptoms, anxiety, self-harm, substance abuse and more.
Our children deserve better: we're inspiring a generation of youth to embrace kindness, compassion, and inclusion, and equiping children with the knowledge and skills to advocate for themselves and their peers.
