The Women's Centre of Calgary provides assistance, support and connection for thousands of women in our community each year. During this COVID19 crisis we are asking for support so we can continue to provide direct assistance to women and their families. As well, we need help with our technology efforts so we can continue to provide community connection for women who are isolated. The Women's Centre continues to be open via phone: 403 264 1155, email: info@womenscentrecalgary.org and Facebook Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/womenscentrecalgary/) to provide support and connection for women.

In order to meet community need, the Women's Centre COVID19 response requires:

- Funds to purchase grocery gift certificates. These will be made available for women and their families who are unable to access the food bank during this time. Each month the Women's Centre provides emergency food hampers to over 500 women and their families to help them get through a short-term crisis. We are no longer able to provide this support. To meet the needs of the families and help alleviate some of the crisis families are experiencing right now, we will provide food gift certificates that will be mailed or delivered to women and their families.

- Funds to support the licensing and development of online connection opportunities. These software and technical solutions could include: chat rooms, workshops via Zoom, Tik Tok, YouTube, etc. as well as other communication enhancements required to ensure that we can continue to connect with women and families who are isolated.
