The global pandemic has challenged all of us. And while the collective experience has impacted everyone to some degree, for some in our community, it has had a disproportionate impact. People in our community have suffered from employment and income loss, education disruption, learning loss, escalating mental health challenges, social isolation, and loss of leadership and mentorship opportunities. The on-going issues of income and racial inequality have further surfaced and has made us all look closer at the impacts of the pandemic on our marginalized communities.

As we continue to navigate through one of the greatest crises in global history, the YMCA remains focused on building healthy, inclusive communities through the power of belonging. We are starting to come back together, and we want to ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunity.
