Yo Bro Yo Girl delivers a range of strength-based programs to help at-risk youth realize their full potential in school, life and community.
Yo Bro Yo Girl helps young people between the ages of 11 and 22 avoid drugs and gangs, pursue education and set positive goals for the future. Our unique strengths-based programs are offered from 16 schools and learning centres across three School Districts (Vancouver, Surrey and Chilliwack).
Yo Bro Yo Girl programs are delivered throughout the school year and incorporate various physical and team-based activities, including a non-contact introduction to martial arts and self-defense. Our programs are led by our Executive Director, Program Coordinator and Program Facilitator and supported on an ongoing basis by a team of Program Assistants and volunteer Youth Leaders.
Yo Bro Yo Girl is recognized by principals, teachers, counselors, law enforcement and our participants as an essential, high-value alternative for at-risk youth.
