Yorktown Family Services (YFS) is a fully accredited mental health community service agency comprised of an infant, child, and family mental health centre; a Violence Against Women (VAW) shelter offering community-based VAW services; and an integrated services site offering rapid access to multiple mental health, primary health, and social service programs for youth and young adults. For over 25 years, YFS has been providing immediate access to a wide range of services to Toronto’s most vulnerable communities.

The spectrum of programs offered include:

• Rapid Access (virtual or in-person) individual and family therapy;
• On-going individual and family therapy (virtual or in-person);
• Psychiatric consultations via teleconference in partnership with The Hospital for Sick Children;
• Youth Outreach Worker program;
• Care Navigation;
• Child welfare diversion programs;
• VAW shelter and services;
• VAW community outreach;
• Mental wellness programs for parents and their infants;
• Group counselling program for fathers enabling them to break the cycle of violence;
• Group program for children and their mothers who have witnessed domestic violence;
• Youth engagement programs for marginalized and at-risk youth (mentorship; peer support group for 2SLGBTQ+ youth; social programs, etc.);
• Violence diversion program for youth and young adults at risk of recruitment by extremist groups;
• Black Lives Accessing Care (BLAC) program for Black-identified children, youth, and their families. 

All programs are either Evidence-Informed or Evidence-Based; YFS works from an integrated care perspective.
