Our Mission

PLEASE NOTE: If you are wishing to support the work of YWAM in any location other than Victoria, please direct your donation to the 'YWAM Project Funding' CanadaHelps account. They handle all donations for YWAM Canada locations. If you DO NOT see the name of the person you want to donate to in our "Staff Project" list, then they are not on the staff of YWAM City Serve or Word to Life Theatre Arts. Please DON'T use "General Fund" to donate for someone who is not on the staff of the 2 previously mentioned YWAM locations in Victoria B.C.. As mentioned above, donations for them must go through the "YWAM Project Funding" Canada Helps account.

Our primary purpose as Victoria's YWAM Base is to come alongside the local church to serve, train, disciple, equip and mobilize the family of Christ. Our aim is to first love and know God through Jesus Christ so that we may be empowered to make His Gospel known in word and deed throughout Victoria, Vancouver Island, and other target areas.

We desire to accomplish this by developing leaders and fostering and nurturing mature leadership in the lives of the Youth With A Mission staff, who in turn will be able to mentor and train others in the Body of Christ. We are committed to building bridges and promoting unity between believers in all Christian denominations and ministries so that the world may be won to Jesus Christ.
