Our Mission
The YWCA NWT advocates for and serves Northern women, families and youth. We provide safe and supportive housing as well as a range of integrated and culturally-relevant programs and services that contribute to their safety, empowerment, and ability to thrive.
About YWCA NWT
We are the NWT's longest-serving charitable organization, and have been dedicated to northern women and families for nearly 60 years. We provide wraparound support in transitional and emergency family housing, shelter from family violence for women and their dependent children, youth leadership and empowerment programs, programming for young children and pregnant persons, on-the-land trauma recovery, and free legal advice and representation for survivors of violence.
Each year, we touch the lives of more than 4,000 people across the Northwest Territories.
