The Stoney Creek 713 Thunderbolt Air Cadet Squadron has been proudly serving the Stoney Creek and Hamilton Area since 1961!  The Air Cadet Program serves youth aged 12- 18 and offers once in lifetime opportunities that promote developing skills to build productive, responsible citizens and leaders in our community. 

The Cadets participate in weekly training nights and participate in many community events including the Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade, Around the Bay Road Race, Battle of Stoney Creek, and the Winona Peach Festival. They also pay their respects to our Veterans by performing an all-night vigil at the Stoney Creek Cenotaph followed by the Remembrance Day Services and Parade. 

Here are some of the main activities that the program teaches/partakes in:

 Leadership  Instructional technique  Military Drill Citizenship  Public speaking and debating  Communication Community Service  Flying (gliding and power)  Marksmanship Music  Airport Operations  Sports activities Flight Scholarship Training  Field Training Exercises (FTX)  And much more!

Cadets also have the opportunity to advance their training through a wide range of summer training courses. These are held at Canadian Forces Bases across the country and are administered by staff from many different cadet units.

These, along with many other opportunities a cadet will experience through out the time in the program, come at no cost to the cadets.
