Our Mission

OUR MISSION

The African-Canadian Association of Waterloo Region & Area strive, with unity of purpose and single voice, advocate, educate and promote issues of mutual benefit to people of African decent living in the Waterloo Region & Area. We are committed to bring African communities together through capacity building and self-empowerment to promote the general well-being of African descendants who live in the area. The Association with other relevant groups, agencies and the larger community will advocate maintaining acceptance, respect and better access of community resources for Africans in the region through networking, social support, increasing awareness and appropriate programmatic interventions.

We are committed to working in collaboration with community agencies, government organizations, and the community at large to promoting harmony among Africans and to enhancing the general well-being of African descendants who reside in the area.
