Providing support, education and advocacy for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their families, and care partners.
We believe that every person is valuable and that a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other-related dementias should not eliminate a person's right to be treated as an individual with wants and needs who remains worthy of respect and consideration.
Our Mission
The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories brings awareness to Alzheimer's disease and other dementia; helps alleviate the personal and social consequences of the disease; provides education and support programs; and promotes and funds research into the cause, prevention and cure.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. We offer Help for Today through our programs and services for people living with dementia and Hope for Tomorrow by funding research.
About us
The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories supports individuals through seven regional offices: Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, and Yellowknife. Our programs and services complement the existing healthcare system. We advocate, serve and innovate on behalf of people with dementia, their families, and care partners. We connect individuals living with dementia to support, education, and resources and commit funds to research to find a cause and cure.
