Ann Davis Transition Society has consistently exemplified leadership in community since 1980.. The mission is: “Ann Davis Transition Society provides education, prevention and support services to those affected by abuse or violence.” The vision of ADTS is "Communities free from abuse and violence." Initially ADTS was opened to offer shelter and support to women and their children who were leaving abusive situations. 

The society has grown over the past 40 plus years to provide services to meet the needs of the community, which include: 2 Transition Houses for women and children fleeing abusive and violent situations; an Outreach Office, women's, men's, children's, youth, couples and family counselling; legal advocacy, supervised visits and various groups for all ages and genders.
