The Bandit Ranch takes in orphaned and injured raccoons to be raised and returned to the wild. The charity operates in Saskatoon and is financed by personal donations. Helping orphans is labour intensive, but so very rewarding. We use donations to pay for raccoon replacement milk, solid foods including puppy chow and food that they would find in the wild such as clams and other types of aquatic food. Because we are growing, our building expenses are increasing to accommodate more cubs.
While raccoons are often considered a nuisance, they are an integral part of the ecosystem and we believe they deserve a second chance!
