Battlefords Residential Services Inc. (BRSI) is a non-profit community based organization and a Canada Revenue Agency registered charity located in North Battleford, SK.  BRSI provides residential and support services for individuals who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities.  BRSI provides these services through the operation of 6 residential group homes, providing care to 34 individuals, a Supported Living Program for 15 individuals and a day program (BRIDGE) for 9 individuals.

BRSI takes pride in its homes and its role in the community.   The homes are very attractive and well maintained which fit into their surrounding neighbourhoods.   BRSI contributes in a very special way to the Battlefords. 

BRSI’s services for individuals with disabilities covers services for people who range in age from 19 to 68 years, with a wide range of ability and disability. From people who are quite independent, living in their own rented apartments, to people who reside in a group home who require total care 24 hours/day.  BRSI has evolved over the years to ensure it is meeting the needs of the community by expanding its group homes, providing care for people who have high health care needs as well as individuals who have demanding complex behavioural challenges, always respecting its people as “individuals”.   The Board of Directors attempts to be forward looking and to gauge and understand the community’s needs in relation to residential services and care.  Accordingly, the Board has submitted proposals for expansion of services to better needs the needs of individuals with disabilities in the Battlefords.
