Lupus BC is the oldest Lupus not-for-profit organization in Canada.  We are dedicated to conquering this unpredictable and devastating disease through education, awareness, research and support.

Our Mission

The BC Lupus Society is a volunteer-based organization committed to providing education and support to people affected by lupus, increasing awareness of lupus and supporting advances in research. An extensive volunteer network of provincial contacts and support groups provides a wide variety of services which link the BC Lupus Society to thousands of people touched by lupus.

Formed in 1977, the BC Lupus Society is the oldest Lupus not-for-profit organization in Canada. We are dedicated to conquering one of the most unpredictable and devastating diseases, while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. Children, women and men can all get lupus and there is no cure.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks any organ of the body in unpredictable ways. Diagnosis is difficult because symptoms can vary widely between individuals. Delay in diagnosis can lead to organ failure and death.

The BC Lupus Society is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those living with lupus in British Columbia.
