Our Mission

Be The Change Earth Alliance is a Vancouver-based charitable organization founded in 2005 that empowers individual and collective change for a resilient, just, connected, and sustainable world. Our work develops and delivers citizen engagement programming to support environmental, social and personal behaviour change in schools, workplaces, and communities. Through our groundbreaking sustainability education programs, we empower people of all ages to support and inspire one another in adopting sustainable lifestyles and creating healthy, thriving communities. 

Our work

Inspired by the rising student voices demanding change NOW, and the vital urgency of this decade, Be The Change Earth Alliance is keen to remove any barriers that may impede the STUDENT LEADERSHIP IN CHANGE (SLC) resources from empowering every student to engage in life-changing actions. We are at a critical time where we need funds to bring our SLC programming Open Access to offer teachers free access to lesson plans, classroom activities, and student Action Packs. Your generous donation will have a major impact as it will allow our organization to forego the annual licensing fee to bring our curriculum to more students to ensure that today’s youth are empowered and look to the future with hope and purpose and an instilled sense of personal agency necessary for systemic change.

SLC: Student Leadership for Change

SLC is an innovative program that provides teachers and students with a groundbreaking educational curriculum for environmental sustainability, reconnection with place and community, and youth empowerment. 400 teachers and 20,000 students have engaged with SLC and/or Be The Change workshops over the past few years, taking actions that have reduced over 700 tonnes of C02 emissions. These students are learning how to take action on local solutions to global sustainability issues.
