About BEREAVED FAMILIES OF ONTARIO - SOUTHWEST REGION

Bereaved Families of Ontario Southwest Region was formally established in September 1984 with a mandate to help families cope with the painful reality of the death of a child, at any age and under any circumstance.

The Association is completely self-funded, raising all monies to pay for its programs and services from a variety of different sources, including private and corporate donations, and fundraising activities. Virtually all work is undertaken by bereaved parent volunteers and their families ~ people who give their time freely and share their talents to help others. The Association is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and an Executive Director.

The Southwest Region Affiliate serves communities across the counties of Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Kent, Huron, Lambton and Perth, making it one of the largest geographic territories in the Province.
