About Our Charity

The name “Bethania” is derived from the biblical description of a small village where Jesus was said to have met the residents’ physical and spiritual needs. It was a reflection of that same Christian faith that brought Bethania into being in 1945. The Bethania Group now provides care in two Personal Care Homes and owns or manages several elderly housing complexes. As a Mennonite organization we strive to operate in a manner consistent with our motto taken from Galatians 6:2, “Bear ye one another’s burdens.”

Your gift to the Foundation will play an important part in providing specialized services such as the Spiritual Care Program for those we serve. Our Spiritual Care Program represents this essential part of our care services. We receive no government funding for Spiritual Care, so donor support is vital. These financial gifts enable us to continue to offer these and other programs to our residents as we continue our commitment to minister to the “whole” person.
