Our project is also known by our website's domain name, Eucharistic Adoration Canada, and as an Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration in Canada.  We are a private association of the faithful, ecclesiastically commissioned to continue the work of a former Perpetual Eucharistic Association of Canada, the original publishers of the Real Presence newsletter. We offer and utilize faithful resources, including those from an ecclesiastically approved Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Manual.

Mission and Purposes:

To promote personal holiness, sanctification and the perfection of the Christian virtues through prayer, word and works.

To advance holiness by being an apostolate and the centre for the promotion, establishment and maintenance of round the clock or partial Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in Canada.

It was St. Pope John Paul II’s great desire "that this form of perpetual adoration, with permanent exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, will continue into the future. Specifically, I hope that the fruit of this Congress results in the establishment of perpetual Eucharistic adoration in all parishes and Christian communities throughout the world.” It is our mission to assist parishes, dioceses and communities to establish and maintain weekly Eucharistic Adoration.

To advance education and the Catholic religion, to relieve spiritual poverty and to develop spiritual strength through prayer, the sacraments, catechesis, evangelization and materials that are faithful to the true teachings and tenets of Jesus Christ and the authentic Catholic Faith.

Brief Introduction:

The universal call to holiness and apostolate is a teaching of the Catholic Church that all people are called to be holy - “Be ye therefore perfect, as also thy Heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matt 5:48). “God is Love.” 1 Jn 4:8. We are called to love God above all things and with all our hearts, souls, mind and strengths and to love our neighbour as ourselves.   Holiness or sanctity is a “program for all times”. “All pastoral initiatives have to be set in relation to holiness as this has to be the topmost priority of the Church”.  “Training in holiness calls for a Christian life distinguished above all in the art of prayer” (Pope Saint John Paul II).

"The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life... For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ Himself, our Pasch" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 1324). Adoration of the sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications (CCC, No. 2628).

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is a core component of our Christian Catholic Life.  “The worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass is of inestimable value for the life of the Church..." (Ecclesia de Eucharistia, No. 25, Pope St. John Paul II).
