An iconic building in the core of our community, Guelph’s new Central Library will usher in a new era of library and social services for GPL. Anchoring the Baker District Redevelopment, the new Central Library will revitalize our downtown, reinforce Guelph's collective sense of place, and improve the economic and social prosperity of the entire city.

Our new facility will give the space to deliver the programs and services that our growing community needs, and increased opportunities for leading edge creativity, collaboration, innovation, and community building. With improved accessibility, larger collections, functional areas for staff support, special-use areas, and meeting spaces, the new Library will provide exceptional access to resources, more user-friendly ways of delivering services, and greater flexibility for services.
