The Braveheart Support Society supports families in Atlantic Canada living with the challenges of congenital heart disease, and endeavors to raise public awareness about the disease. Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common birth defect, occurring in 1% of all births, and this year approximately 90 babies will be born with a CHD in Nova Scotia alone.

The Braveheart Support Society endeavors to provide much needed support to these children and their families, whose lives have been drastically affected by the disease. This is done through programs such as Surgery Care Packages, Monthly Parent Meetings, monthly Playgroups, and providing funding to support an annual Heart Talk Conference and future planned Braveheart Children’s Camp.
