Our Mandate and Mission
An arts-based festival where our children play and learn.
Our Vision
The Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan is recognized as an important event in the cultural landscape of Saskatchewan.
We cultivate a passion for learning, curiosity, and exploration in children through diversified and multi-cultural programming. Our programming is progressive: it evolves to reflect our community, it enhances children’s educational experiences, and most importantly, it encourages children to have fun and try something new!
Children have opportunities to learn and play together at the Festival. They interact with artists and other presenters of all ages, cultures, genders, and abilities. As a result of the Festival, children have a better understanding of the world around them.
About the Nutrien Children's Festival of Saskatchewan
In light of the COVID-19 virus and it's affect on our community and the world at large, the Festival has been postponed to Sept. 12-15, 2020. We feel that the arts are needed now more than ever and that our children are the ones that are feeling this worry the most. In the fall, we are still anticipating that over 10,000 children, parents, teachers, and caregivers will come to Saskatoon’s beautiful Kinsmen Park to take part in the Children’s Festival. This one-of-a-kind Festival captures the imagination of parents and children alike with spectacular performances, unique activities, and opportunities for dynamic community building.
The Festival has many mainstage performances that vary between theatre, dance, music, and the circus arts with numerous onsite activities that will feed a child's imagination and curiosity.
Our Festival is inclusive of all cultural, ethnic, linguistic and financial backgrounds as well as welcoming all abilities, genders, and sexual orientations.
Play is the real work of children! We invite you to bring your children, grandchildren, and students to four days of art, education, friendship, and fun this spring in Kinsmen Park!
