About One World Arts

One World Arts is a volunteer-based, charitable organization that has been working to raise awareness and foster public engagement on global issues since 1972. Since its inception, One World Arts has run on the dedication of its volunteers and staff, who are passionate about combining arts and education about global issues. The organization was originally established as the Ottawa-Hull Learner Centre, in the mid-1980s changed its name to World Inter-Action Mondiale (WIAM), and in 2011 changed its name again to One World Arts -- the best reflection of our organization's two facets: arts and global issues.
