Providing environmental education in classrooms and communities.
Ontariogreen Conservation Association is a volunteer-run, charitable organization that provides free environmental education programs in Elementary schools, based on the Ontario Science Curriculum. Since 2012 we have reached over 77,000 students across Ontario.
Our programs uniquely complement course material by examining global environmental issues through a local lens. These engaging presentations provide teachers and students with current, local information that is difficult for them to find anywhere else; help schools achieve ECO-School certification and encourage positive action by students.
Our programs are constantly updated with the latest information and are provided free-of charge to schools. Engaging and information rich, our programs have become highly sought-after by teachers.
As well Ontariogreen holds:
- Urban Forest Tours for new immigrants,
- Provides advice and help to schools on schoolyard naturalization and the creation of outdoor classrooms and,
- Leads naturalization projects,
- Conducts Living With Wildlife education.
Donations to Ontariogreen will support our environmental education programs for schools, keeping the programs free of charge.
