The Mandate of Orchestras Mississauga is broad in scope and it is to celebrate the art of live music. The Mission is to enrich the City of Mississauga by fostering the appreciation, development and advancement of quality orchestral music for our citizens, youth, musicians and the arts community-at-large.

Orchestras Mississauga’s Values are as follows:

- We will be proud of our commitment to fostering orchestral music education through educational program for intermediate school students.

About ORCHESTRAS MISSISSAUGA

Founded in 1972, Orchestras Mississauga is a unique music organization in that it has three distinct music ensembles:

- The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra is a large community orchestra of well over 80 volunteer musicians, led by a core of professional principal players.

- Established in 1987, Sinfonia Mississauga is a professional chamber ensemble of 12 string musicians and it is known for its highly polished, spellbinding performances.

- The Mississauga Philharmonic is a 40-piece professional ensemble which performs the Pops series and also performs the annual Hollywood Sound Education Program.

Orchestras Mississauga is a valuable cultural resource for Mississauga and its surrounding areas, providing educational opportunities for schools, instruction to young musicians, and a valuable experience for countless professionals, students and volunteer players.
