The Orillia & District Literacy Council is a local, non-profit organization of trained volunteers. We assist adults to improve their reading, writing, math and computer skills in order to cope with everyday life, to reach their goals and to improve their chances of success in our community.
About Our Charity
We help adults in reading, writing, spelling and math, along with essential skills and computer basics. Anyone over the age of 19 is welcome to join any of our FREE learning programs.
Some of our students want to achieve their high school diploma or equivalent in order to go on to employment or further education while others want to be able to read for their own independence. Whatever the reason, we strive to meet their needs.
