Otra Fe Association for Food Security and Development is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) registered in Canada. We are a group of Canadians in Solidarity with farmers and their families in Western El Salvador with the aim of assisting them to increase productivity in crops and livestock in order to better feed and care for their families. Projects of Lorena stoves, cisterns, community chicken coops, increase productivity and nutrition ultimately improving familial health and welfare. Agricultural assistance in the form of education, seed and fertilizer stabilizes family income and further adds to food security.

We endeavor to encourage and promote familial cooperation, women's rights and the right to education for both male and female children. We are committed to accountability and transparency in all areas of our work. No Director receives compensation for their work nor is the organization charged for administrative costs other than costs incurred in the maintenance of bank accounts, currency exchange, legal fees, and transfer of funds.
