Our Mission

We strive

a) To maintain a concert band to provide musical enjoyment for the Band members and an opportunity for members of the community to participate in and sustain the art-form of concert band playing,

(b) To provide a means whereby individual musical abilities may be improved within the framework of the Band’s overall operation,

(c) To play concerts for audiences in retirement homes, nursing homes, hospitals and hospices, and to present concerts at other venues, as may be selected by the Band Board of Directors.

About OTTAWA COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND

The Ottawa Community Concert Band provides an opportunity for community members to pursue an active involvement in playing a wind instrument, and to enjoy listening to band music. We work with a wide range of community organizations to present about 15 to 20 volunteer concerts per year throughout the Ottawa region.
