Ozanam Recovery House is a 19-bed transition home located in Kelowna, BC for adult men who are struggling with addictions, mental health issues, or both. Our mission is to provide our residents with a home, health and hope. By providing professional treatment resources and stable housing all under one roof, we have created a unique environment where residents can fully focus on their recovery and personal development while living in a safe and supportive community setting.
Ozanam Recovery House, a project of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Central Okanagan, enjoys broad local support from many faith groups and agencies serving the homeless in Kelowna. Though we receive core funding from the BC Ministry of Social Development and the BC Housing Corporation, we rely on private donations to enhance our programming to fully support residents on their road to recovery.
It costs about $50 per night to provide clean, safe housing, healthy meals and rehabilitation programming for a resident at Ozanam Recovery House. This combination of stable housing and treatment resources serves an important need for residents and supports their return to independent living.
Funding through the Ministry of Social Development and the BC Housing Corporation and our unique pay-per-use structure covers 85% of our costs. We are left with an annual shortfall of $50,050 – which equates to $50 per night for 1001 nights.
