Pain BC initiatives are designed collaboratively with people living with pain and front-line health care providers to ensure relevance to their lives and practice contexts.
Healthcare Provider Education
Building pain assessment and management skills as well as confidence among health care providers is key to improving the lives of people living with pain. Our focus is on collaborative programs and sustained engagement with a range of health care professionals to create “Pain Champions” and “Pain Action Teams”. We also provide mentoring programs, intensive training, and workshops. Our annual conference brings cutting edge practice to hundreds of practitioners on the frontlines. We’re also working with Doctors of BC and the Ministry of Health to educate GPs through the Chronic Pain Practice Support Program, integrating best practices into their day-to-day work with people living in pain.
Your donation will help Pain BC continue our mission to improves the lives of people in pain through education, empowerment and innovation.
