Our Mission

The Parkland Crisis Centre & Women's Shelter has a mission to open doors of hope for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Through the provision of emergency shelter, counselling, education, and advocacy, we strive to empower abuse survivors to make positive life changes. Our centre values the basic human right to freedom from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, or social status. We are committed to ending the cycle of domestic abuse by providing alternatives to violent living.

About PARKLAND CRISIS CENTRE INCORPORATED

The Parkland Crisis Centre & Women's Shelter operates a shelter facility for women and their children that are fleeing abuse from an intimate partner. Support groups and walk in counselling is available and all services are free, voluntary and confidential.

A 24 hour per day Crisis Line is available for those in need to call to receive counselling services or referrals to other agencies.

A Children's Program is available for children to receive counselling and support services either individually, in groups, or with their parent.
