ABOUT PARTICIPATION SUPPORT SERVICES:

When Participation House Brantford was founded in 1975, we offered a new and innovative supportive housing program for 30 individuals, mainly with cerebral palsy, at 10 Bell Lane.  Since that time, our services have expanded dramatically. We now serve more than 300 people in our community through supportive housing, respite care, outreach, and in-home and at-work personal support services. In light of this growth, Participation House Brantford’s recent Strategic Plan identified the need for a re-branding exercise to ensure that our name and brand accurately reflect our current identity.

In July 2016, the Board engaged a Marketing firm to perform a brand audit, which indicated that while people saw Participation House as an important and respected part of the community, a significant proportion of respondents thought we still only provided residential services. The brand audit, therefore, recommended a complete re-branding, including a new name and slogan.

As Participation Support Services, we will continue to support individuals with physical disabilities and complex care needs living in the Brant/Brantford community. Our new name, Participation Support Services, and slogan, “Your care, your way, your home,” communicates the breadth of services we offer, and our commitment to providing care that is tailored to everyone’s unique needs and abilities.
