PeerNetBC provides training, resources and support to peer-led initiatives across British Columbia, fostering opportunities for people to learn and make connections.

About PeerNetBC

PeerNetBC works collaboratively with individuals, non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout BC to enhance peer support in their communities.

Peer support appreciates knowledge from experience, values giving as well as receiving, and is built upon equal status and shared responsibility.

PeerNetBC and our youth initiative, Kinex, provide peer support groups with information and referral services, assist individuals to organize new groups, advise organizations championing support groups, and train group facilitators.

Volunteer peer-led community groups also benefit from our knowledge of group development, power dynamics and our emphasis on inclusion amid diversity. Kinex particularly focuses on strengthening youth voice and youth engagement in decision-making.

We were formerly known as SHRA, the Self-Help Resource Association of BC.
