Explore 'Life in the Past Lane' at the Pembina Threshermen's Museum (PTM) in southern Manitoba (Hwy #3 between Winkler & Morden).
The PTM offers acres of heritage and many other historically-based buildings as well as events & interactive 'stations' that provide old-fashioned fun to help our visitors 'step back in time' as they experience life as it was in pioneer times. Weather takes a toll on our outdoor buildings and antiques though and skyrocketing contractor costs can be detrimental, so donations are a vital part of keeping our heritage alive and go toward helping PTM volunteers with the ongoing upkeep of the museum, the funding of events and the improvements of the grounds, buildings and displays.
With support, however, we can continue to offer a unique experience to adults and children alike through our special events, interactive 'stations', antiques and historic village (with its sawmill, antique tractors, early 1900s steam engines, old-time General Store, Blacksmith Shop, seed cleaning elevator with flour mill, stationary engines, NWMP Outpost, below ground sod house, etc).
So whether it be from an educational aspect through the events and many things to see & do or to experience Arts & Culture through all the displays & time period, any way you look at it a ton of exploring and adventure awaits you at the PTM! Visit our website for more details on all our exciting events and museum highlights and be sure to check out all the amazing photos on our facebook page at: www.facebook.com/PembinaThreshermensMuseum
Open mid-May - Sept 30 we've been keeping our heritage alive since 1968, so be sure to "come play for the day ... the PTM way!"
