The Penticton Public Library is a mid-sized independent municipal library in the City of Penticton. The mission of the Penticton Public Library is to be a thriving presence, responsive, and connected to our diverse community through innovative services, outreach, and partnerships. We want to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone in Penticton by helping everyone access lifelong learning opportunities and make connections in our community by providing a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone to explore, learn, create, share and – of course - read.
While most of the funding that supports the Penticton Public Library comes from public sources like the City of Penticton and Province of BC, we are fortunate to also receive additional financial support from generous people like you. Your tax-deductible gift allows the Library to enhance our collections, support our programs for all ages (babies to seniors), and grow the services for those people who rely on us every day. From lending materials (books to board games) to providing access to the Internet, from offering programs that promote all 21st Century literacies and support the love of reading to connecting people to each other and new ideas, the Penticton Public Library is proud to make a difference in the lives of our community.
