À propos

We know what it's like to hear the words 'you have cancer', as our Founder, Elise Gasbarrino, heard those words, and went through all of the trials and tibulations of facing a cancer diagnosis while in her early twenties. During her treatment, she felt certain elements were missing from her experience—a way to connect with women her age facing the same issues, and a means for them to conquer their issues together.

Her vision transformed into Pink Pearl, a community-oriented charitable organization that provides support, facilitates connections and empowers young women who are courageously overcoming the social and emotional challenges of being diagnosed with cancer.

Our Programs

We provide a safe and supportive space for self-identifying young women facing a cancer diagnosis to be seen, heard, and welcomed into a community of folks who just get it. Our free programs creates a community of on-going support for self-identifying young women between 18 and 40 who are working through the emotional and social challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Wellness Retreats encourage our program participants to connect, self reflect, and share experiences in a safe and peer-supported environment.

Local Socials are a way to connect with your peers in a relaxed environment to share, grow and connect with others facing cancer a cancer diagnosis.

Sephora's Brave Beauty Classes are designed for individuals facing cancer to address the visible effects of cancer treatments. Since looking and feeling your best helps you live more confidently, Sephora developed these classes to help inspire fearlessness — so you can live boldly and be ready for any challenge.

One-on-One Support Program we offer short term, individual counselling sessions where our social workers provide you with a space to be heard and feel empowered.

Pink Pearl Support Packages contain helpful resources, guided questions, and a symbolic bracelet for young women newly diagnosed with cancer.

Post-Secondary Scholarship in memory of Julia Bayer, our scholarship is awarded to a young woman who is facing cancer while navigating school.

Peer Support & Ambassador Program invites program participants to facilitate Local Socials, lend a listening ear to young women facing cancer and to educate others about the work we do.

Legacy Program an ever-evolving list of resources, and experiences for women to begin exploring their journey with end-of-life planning.
