The Pivot Legal Society is a charitable foundation that works to build a community of support for charitable activities that aim to end poverty and marginalization.

About Our Charity

Pivot gives grants to organizations that undertake legal referral and assistance services, skills training projects, health services, women’s programs and other charitable endeavours to assist marginalized communities in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and across Canada.

At Pivot, we reach out to people who believe in the potential of the law to shift society towards greater compassion and fairness. Join us in supporting charitable projects aimed at tackling the root causes some of the most pressing social issues of our time - homelessness, abuse of power, and sex workers’ rights.

At the heart of our work is a deep connection to people’s lived experience of poverty and social exclusion. We believe that the voices of people living on the margins of society matter, that their experiences are important, and that when given the chance they can be important agents for change - change that resonates throughout society.
