Values and Vision

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we glorify God at home and abroad by:

• SHARING the Gospel of Christ (Acts 1:8)
• PROVIDING love, friendship and support (1 Thessalonians 3:12)
• ENCOURAGING personal and spiritual growth (2 Timothy 2:15)
• LIVING a consistent Christian life (2 Corinthians 5:15)

Sharing the gospel – The gospel is the good news that Christ came and gave his life for us so that we can have forgiveness and have our relationship with God restored. We seek to build bridges to and be involved in our community.

Providing love, friendship, and support – God created people with a desire to belong, to be loved and valued. We desire to build people up by being an encouragement and support through the changes of life. We know that there is no perfect church, and so we also strive to deal with our differences and practice reconciliation in a way that is honoring to God.

Encouraging personal and spiritual growth – The Bible is our guidebook for all that we do. Growth just does not automatically happen. We believe that every believer must take time to cultivate his or her relationship with God. Spiritual growth also happens when one uses his or her spiritual gift for the benefit of the church.

Living a consistent Christian life – The Christian faith is a relationship with a living God, it is not just a set of rules and regulations. At the same time, our behavior does matter. We believe that if we love Christ, we will want to please and honor him by the way we live; therefore we must live with integrity, honesty, and purity.
